Have you ever been in the middle of a workout and start to think about the food you’re going to eat when the workout is finished? Of course you don’t want to go for something that will cancel out all the hard work you just put in. You’ll want to go for a bite that has some carbohydrate, very little fat, and protein, because protein will help repair and replenish your post-workout body. Studies have shown if you have a protein filled snack, within 30 minutes after a workout it provides needed amino acids to the muscles. It just happens we have the perfect snack for your post-workout needs. Our Chocolate Peanut Butter Energy Bites provide delicious benefits from oats, peanut butter, and plant based protein. Along with extra nutrients from chia seeds and flax meal. So let’s get cooking! All though there is no cooking involved because these are a no bake treat! 😊

✦1½ cups old fashioned oats
✦2 Tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
✦1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon chia seeds
✦½ cup chocolate plant based protein powder

✦3 Tablespoons agave
✦½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
✦1 teaspoon maple extract
✦¼ cup dried cranberries
✦2-3 Tablespoons almond milk

✦Add peanut butter, agave, vanilla, and maple extract.
✦Fold in dried cranberries.
✦Slowly add in almond milk 1 Tablespoon at a time until it comes together in a sticky ball that holds together.
✦Scoop mixture out using a Tablespoon measuring spoon, roll into a ball using your hands. Makes about 24 energy bites.
✦Place in an airtight container. Store in fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.

I use to have a really good chocolate hemp protien powder. I guess they changed it though. It’s made by Manitoba Harvest. They have a chocolate hemp and pea protein mix now called “hemp ya”
